Revenue Audit Manager

AMS-PAR seeks an oil and gas Revenue Audit Manager to join its team.

Key Responsibilities: 

The Revenue Audit Manager is responsible for planning and managing revenue related audits including those of net profit interests, gas plants, and production allocation / measurement. The person filling this position must be driven to achieving exceptional results for AMS-PAR’s clients, be able to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment, and be able to drive projects to completion within budget. The Revenue Audit Manager is expected to have and maintain advanced revenue accounting / auditing knowledge, be well respected in the industry, be willing and able to perform as an individual contributor, and be able to help others realize their potential.

The successful candidate must have a minimum of 15 -20 years of diverse revenue and gas plant accounting / auditing experience and preferably be located in Houston, although other oil and gas centers will be considered (e.g., Dallas, Denver, Fort Worth, Oklahoma City, Tulsa, etc.).

Key Duties:

  • Ensure:
    • Engagement objectives are properly defined
    • Appropriate tests are designed to achieve engagement objectives
    • Engagements are completed successfully.
  • Recruit, train, and manage staff
  • Achieve revenue goals
    • Billable hours
    • New and / or expanded business opportunities
  • Maintain relations with client personnel
  • Maintain industry specfic knowledge 
Key Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 15 – 20 years’ of oil and gas revenue, gas plant, operational accounting, and audit experience
  • Experience with State and ONRR royalty payment processing and audits
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task (i.e., manage multiple projects simultaneously) and interact well with others in a fast-paced, tight deadline environment
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, supervise, develop, and manage staff • Strong analytical skills • Excellent inter-personal and written communication skills
  • Excellent Microsoft Office suite skills
  • Upstream ERP system experience
  • Prior litigation support experience a plus
  • Hands on team player
  • Strong project management skills
  • Ability to develop and implement audit programs and lead change
  • Ability to travel
