Vendor Auditor

AMS-PAR seeks an experienced Vendor Auditor to join its team

Key Responsibilities: 

Identify contract risks, perform tests to assess whether billings complied with agreed terms, and effectively negotiate settlements. The person filling this position must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment, be a self-starter, work independently or with others, and drive projects to completion within budget all while achieving exceptional results for AMS-PAR clients.

Key Qualifications: 

The successful candidate must have a bachelor’s degree, preferably in accounting or mathematics, and a minimum of 3-5 years of vendor audit or compliance experience with a focus on dollar recoveries rather than operational controls. An emphasis on suppliers servicing the energy sector (oil, gas, utility), construction projects, and union agreements is a plus as is experience conducting contingency based audits.

Key Duties:

  • Interpret contract language and identify contract risks
  • Conduct initial client interviews and prepare planning memorandums
  • Assist with the development of audit test steps
  • Execute tests using data mining tools and critical thinking to assess contract compliance
  • Clearly convey test results and practical corrective actions in client reports
  • Effectively communicate with management, and client and supplier representatives
  • Continuously enhance data analytical skills and maintain industry specific knowledge

  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task (i.e., manage multiple projects simultaneously) and interact well with others in a fast-paced, tight deadline environment

  • Ability to mentor other staff
